A traditional Japanese inn brand, “Wafu-an”, aims to enhance the guest experience by introducing a unified Wabi-Sabi lighting series throughout the inn. The aesthetics of Wabi-Sabi emphasize nature, emptiness, and the beauty of imperfection. The inn’s interior is primarily composed of wood, stone, and washi paper, and the lighting must harmonize with this aesthetic to create a serene and warm atmosphere, allowing guests to experience the slow passage of time in tranquility.
